The Boards
Springring has two kinds of Boards:
School Boards
Class Boards or 'Class'
Boards are your ways of communicating to Students and Parents, along with sharing information with other Teachers and staff members. Think of them as your digital bulletin boards, smart boards, whiteboards, and blackboards. Leaders, Teachers, and Contributors have the ability to create Posts to go on these Boards.
The School Board
School Boards are created by the Leader and target multiple Groups. They generally include a large number of users. For example, a School Board named 'Primary School' will include all the users within Primary School. If a Teacher or Contributor would like to send a message to everyone in Primary School, they can directly post on the Board.
When adding users to a Board, you can select to add a whole Group or individual users. However, you only need to add individual users if they are not part of your selected Groups. Each School Board is linked to a specific Group and hence share the same users as seen below:
The Classes
Class Boards or 'Classes' can be created by the Admin or Teachers. These types of boards contain a smaller and more specific number of users. For example, a year 3 Teacher can create a class called 'Y3 Math' and add all the Students and Contributors. The Teacher automatically becomes the owner of that Class and can communicate directly with all its users.
Similarly to a School Board, each Class is linked to a specific Group as seen below:
To create a Class and post on all Boards, head to the Contributor Portal by clicking on . As an Admin you can access the Teacher Portal and post on all of the Boards.
