Springring Teachers now have their own mobile app! Don’t worry, it has the same features, just on a mobile device. Updating Parents has never been easier. Teachers can now take their phones and post on the go. Becoming completely unstoppable. From here you can create posts and events for your Students and their Parents to see. You can even chat directly with any of your student’s Parents. The app is available on both the App Store and Play Store.
Login and Setup
If you are an existing Springring Teacher, then you can simply download the app, sign in and you're ready to go! For new Springring Teachers, after receiving the invite email and downloading the app, your first step is to create a password. Remember that the password you set needs to be at least 8 characters long, with letters and numbers.
After setting your password, you are greeted with a quick guide and setup:
The guides are made for you to get familiar with your Springring app. Once you're ready, click on Get Started.
Navigate Your Way
Now that you have set up your account, you can explore the app. By clicking on the menu icon, you can navigate your way to the school boards and classes.
The school Admin could have created your Classes already. These will appear under the name of your school along with the School Boards you are part of. The boards that you are allowed to post on contain a small pencil icon . If you don't have any Classes yet, head over to the web portal to create your first class. Take a look at how to create a class.
Your Boards and Classes
Boards and Classes that you are part of will contain posts that appear within a feed. If you are an owner of a Class, your information will appear on top of the posts.
Here, you can access all the information regarding the class. You'll see the description, editors, viewers, and groups related to the class. It's also a way to access the full student registry. (This feature is still in development and will show up once it is released).
Posting and Sharing
Just like the web portal, Springring Teachers can post, share, and chat on their app. To create a post simply click on . The type of posts remains the same, with:
Text/Media/File: These are simple posts, possibly with photos, videos, or a file to download. These posts are most commonly used for daily updates and if they aren't highlighting a specific date or link to a website
Events: Posts that have a specific date and time that you would like to invite the Parents or an event to keep your Students excited about. This type of post will appear on the Calendar and you can use it for activities such as a Science Fair, Yellow Day, or even a School Play
Link: This type of post is an easy way to share news articles, websites, Youtube videos with everyone. The post will embed the link directly and can be viewed directly from Springring
Authorization: A post that required the approval of the students' Parents. You can use this type of post to gather permission for events, field trips, and other activities. Learn more about Authorization Posts here.
The features have remained since any post can be marked as an Alert or Pinned to top. Teachers can also post to multiple Boards! This feature has been added to save time and send out the same post on different boards. Simply choose the boards you'd like to post on and click .
