Navigate Your Way
Now that you have set up your account, profile picture, and children's pictures you can explore the app. The school has already set up everything for you to keep you up to date. Upon opening the app, the first thing that opens is All Updates. A complete view of all the posts and notices you are yet to read. And have the ability to switch with your most Recently Viewed posts.
By clicking on the Menu, you can navigate your way through other Boards and features.
The School Board is where you will find all the information the school is sending out to everyone. These are usually announcements going out to Parents. Your feed can contain several types of posts and your main insight into school updates.
Your Menu has been divided into three different sections:
- Personalized information
- Public information
- Resources and Others
Your Personalized Feed
At the top of the Menu bar, you'll find the name and logo of the school.
When clicking on your child's profile, you access all their Classes. As a Parent, you will not receive updates unless they refer to your child's class. Your personal boards include an All Updates feed and My Board. All Updates is an easy way to view all the posts you are yet to read and have read. We collect all the posts, from every board and show them in one place. Posts that you are yet to read are found in All Unread. Posts that you have just opened are found in Recently Viewed.
Direct Posts are where you will find all the posts that have been sent to you specifically. Staff or teachers can decided whether to share information with you personally or with the whole class.
Switch Between Schools
Parents with kids going to different schools, that are using Springring, can switch between schools. The white arrow found on the blue header of the menu bar will display the logos of different schools in a drop-down menu. Just under the different schools, you will see your Children's profiles. Make sure that both schools are using the same Parent email for all your kids to appear.
The Public School Boards
The public information that the school wants to share is divided into School Boards. The school Admin sets up these boards as a form of communication between all Parents within a school.
Updates and news found here are shared with everyone and a way for you to stay connected with school events. The badges found to the right show the number of posts that haven't been seen yet.
Resources and Others
This section has the information that you saved and can refer to. Parents have the ability to Bookmark posts and media, along with add events to their personal Calendar. You can also access your Settings and preferences and the list of School Contacts.
From the Menu bar, you can navigate your way to all the updates that the Admin and Teachers share.
- Access your child's Classes by clicking on their profile picture
- Check All Updates for all the most recent information
- Check Direct Posts for communication that is to you specifically
- Switch between schools by clicking on their photo (This feature is still in development)
- Use the same email address to register in multiple schools or clubs
