Springring has created roles for staff members to simplify creating the School structure. When creating users, there are options to choose whether a staff member is an Admin, Teacher, or Contributor. The roles are as follows:
Admin: Staff members with administration rights. They can access the Administration Portal where they can create and manage Users, Groups, and School Boards. Admin can also edit the school calendar.
Teacher: Staff members who are responsible for a Class or several Classes. Teachers access their own portal and can create as many classes as they want. When creating a class they can assign a group of students, contributors, and even add users individually.
Contributor: Staff members that are either Admin, Teachers, or other staff members such as teaching assistants, nurses and coordinators. Contributors can have access to School Boards and Classes. They can create posts and share information with Parents. However, contributors do not have the option to Chat with Parents, unless given permission by the Admin. Contributors can also be editors or viewers on a Teacher’s Class. A Teacher can assign them as an editor to be able to post on the Class, or a viewer to give them view-only access.
These roles were created for a flexible School structure. Permissions and access are limited for each user, but determined by the Admin.
